Mountain Picnic Ceremony

Our ceremony will be held in a mountain meadow with sweeping views. There will be a glorious 10 minute procession to get to the ceremony location so plan your footwear accordingly. Most seating will be picnic style –yes, this means on the ground with a plethora of comfy bean bags, floor loungers, poufs and pillows. There will be some designated chair seating available, please let us know in your RSVP if you require a regular chair.

Please note: Ceremony guests are encouraged to wear their ceremony outfits to the dinner reception as well (or any other preferred cocktail attire)

  • Outfits that blow in the wind and let you move and sit with ease. We encourage loose, flowing clothing - comfortable fabrics paired with supportive footwear that can touch dirt. The key is classy comfort!

    Please note: Please bringing a shawl or light cover up for arms and shoulders. This will protect you from sun and potential bugs.

    • Covered toes, stylish boots (note: your shoes will touch dirt so nothing too fancy)

    • Light weight layers

    • Chic yet non-restrictive

    • Flowing maxi dresses

    • Breezy skirts, long or tea-length

    • Draping jumpsuits

    • Wide-leg trousers and loose blouses

    Things to avoid:

    • ABSOLUTELY NO stilettos or high heels! (we will be walking through a meadow)

    • PLEASE NOTE: If your skirt touches the ground it might touch dirt.

    • Please refrain from wearing shades of white

  • Outfits that let you move and sit with ease. We encourage loose, clothing in semi-formal yet comfortable fabrics paired with semi-formal, supportive footwear. The key is comfort!

    • Embrace a polished yet comfortable style.

    • Relaxed-fit pants recommended so you can sit comfortably.

    • Colors encouraged

    • Nothing too formal. Comfort is key!

    Things to avoid:

    • No formal ties or jackets

    • Nothing too tight or restrictive

    • SHOES: your shoes will touch dirt so nothing too fancy
