Getting to Crested Butte

The Gunnison Valley is nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in west-central Colorado. It’s an hour flight, or a four hour road trip from Denver.

If You Are Flying

We recommend flying into Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) – a lovely small airport about 30 minutes away from the town of CB.

If you are flying from Denver, Dallas, Houston or Chicago you can choose a non-stop flight, otherwise you’ll have one transfer. The flight time from Denver to Crested Butte is about an hour.

Leaving the Airport: Ubers & Lyfts don’t exist in these parts, so we recommend pre-reserving or renting a car.

Getting to CB

Rent-n’-Carpool with friends!

Since many of you are traveling from the same cities—and with close friends or family attending too—we recommend sharing a rental car. If you’re interested, Lauren and Aaron can help connect you with others and point you in the right direction based on your accommodations.

**Many wedding events will be shuttle only events. Transportation will be provided. Your rental car will be handy for getting to and from the airport and for exploring the beautiful Crested Butte and its surrounding areas between events–see the Exploring CB section.

Shuttles from Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport: If you don’t have a car, consider hiring a shuttle from the Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport (GUC) to your hotel.

Take a Road Trip!

Fly into Denver International Airport (DEN) – which usually has cheaper fares and the most flight availability.

Crested Butte is a 4 hour drive from Denver and definitely worth while! We have done this road trip multiple times and it never fails to leave us breathless. Find yourself winding up alpine switchbacks, traversing 14,000 foot peaks, taking in 100 mile long valley views, and exploring the great aspen-filled American West.
